![]() Relationships between cultural and biological diversity When human was first made, or born, they learned how to live with other creatures. Humans are now part of the bio diversity net trying hard to protect them and help the beautiful landscapes and bio-diversity. A lot of people do not realize that bio-diversity of the countries also help the country economically. As human developed, they started to form thing called the culture. Culture have been affected from the natural environment, and sometimes overcome the hardships but sometimes get along with them. The natives, people who have formed the closest, and strongest bond with nature than any other people, are now playing a major role in keeping the bio-diversity on Earth. The places where they are living are areas where the bio-diversity rate is the highest. The area where traditional natives are living cover nearly 24% on Earth, and contain 80% of the Earth?s eco-system. Many protected areas are located in the native regions. The reasons how they was able to contain this much area were because the natives actively protected the bio-diversity of their land, and preserve their land from the exploitation from without. People who work for protection of bio-diversity think this as a big opportunity and a major work that needs to be done. It is because they need to work with them together as a co-worker and learn how to understand and respect their life patterns and thoughts. The native groups have developed a lot of social rules to control bio-diversity of their land. Actually, most of modern protection technologies are based on these traditional styles. We can socially control the resources that we can get from certain weather and place which makes us to continue earning crops. There are some cases when the control styles of the natives affect the actual natural scenery. For example, the Australian natives sometimes use fire to continue and make large habitat where bio-diversity is high. The controlling style of the natives also affected the Australian national park policies as well as Indonesia. The native groups have deep knowledges and tips about the bio-system (eco-system). Their special and deep understanding about the genetic bio-diversity made them to create diverse types of animals, plants, and bacteria. Numerous duplicated species and thousands kinds of cheese-bacteria, and hundreds of rice planted in Asia are the examples of the native?s deep knowledge. The South American natives are protecting numerous types of their plants. These bio-diversity not only have practical meanings but also symbolic meanings. The high diversity of crops make them react to climate change fast and elastic. Some crops are used for festivals that have symbolic meanings. |
