Recycling past papersby | 09-05-2016 23:29 |

![]() IGCSE is currently on-going and as they say, ?Practice makes perfect?. With these words, I am motivated to practice a lot through doing the past papers. This in turn results in me printing A LOT and using A LOT of papers. This causes me to feel really guilty as paper comes from trees, so I have decided to make a difference by recycling all of my papers. There are stacks of papers all over the house. Chemistry papers, Physics papers, Biology papers, Mathematics papers, etc. All of those would go to waste after my IGCSE is over. I know for a fact that my friends are also printing past papers and photocopying them resulting in a ton of papers being used up. If I were to stack all of the papers over one another, I would be able to build a tower. I have talked to my school?s principal about collecting the past papers from other students and bringing it to Bali Recycling, Ubud, to recycle it. This is a much better alternative than throwing all of those paper away in the trash bin as it would lead to the dump yard. By bringing it to Bali Recycling personally, we would know for sure that they would recycle it. Fortunately, my school was very supportive with this idea and was very glad that I thought about recycling. Bali Recycling is a company that operates an integrated waste management system that focuses on reducing, reusing & recycling (taken from Bali Recycling?s Facebook page). They provide trash collection service which makes it easier for us to recycle our things and they also collect and process hazardous materials, making them the first to be able to provide this service in Bali. By doing this, I am able to raise awareness to my community on how important it is to recycle as we all have been using up a lot of papers for over the past 3 months due to preparations. I am very happy to know that people are supportive of this idea and I hope I will receive a lot of paper donations from my fellow schoolmates. |
