Model ASEM 2016 in Hanoi

by | 08-04-2016 00:43

Last week, I joined the Model ASEM 2016 in Hanoi. It was a very great chance to meet many friends in Europe-Asia region. They come from Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Singapore, and the Philippines, Malaysia, Myanmar, Russia, French and many more. We have lots of critical discussions about current affairs.

The Model ASEM was held by British Council, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vietnam Youth Union, Asia-Europe Foundation and Asefuan. Before the event was officially kicked off, we got two day trainings to learn how to build sustainable development. The two key points I remembered most is 'Build trust and understanding' and 'having sustainable lifestyle'. As we all know, all of us have responsibility in protecting the earth so we need to connect together to make a difference. We must believe each other's potential and have the common strategies. The trainings help me and other friends understand more about ourselves and each other. I strongly recommend you to join this training 'Global citizen' of British Council.

In the three main days of the event, we discuss a lot about 'climate change and cooperation on combating hunger and poverty', 'promoting inclusive and sustainable economic growth', 'education and employment'.

Through the event, many countries had better understanding each other and committed to do our best to achieve many successes in the future. We also together made a statement to hand in ASEM leaders. I hope positive changes will appear soon.
