All the 39 European countries have been ed by  EEA  ( European Environment Agency) due to the catastrophic environmental policies that have been implemented on the continent since 1994. Europe should work more on its environmental policies in order to inherit a cleaner air in 2050. 

     The Executive director of the EAA,  Mr Hans Bruyninckx said < We have thirty five years to make sure that our children born today shall be able to live on a sustainable  planet in 2050>.

        On this new challenge, Air and water  has emerged as the priority field. Can you imagine that 90% of European townsfolk are exposed to particles?  What if you knew that 430 000 persons have died because of Contaminated water in 2011 ?

       Istanbul was the worst  for living :In 2012,Istanbul has been the 7th most polluted city in the world.  Istanbul  folks suffered because  of air and water contamination. 

       In response to the  bad results of our city, the municipality of Istanbul has been innovating by funding and supporting environmental program across the city. I  actually participated in a huge environmental contest organised by Istanbul municipality and Chalmers university in Sweden. This contest was  a vast program to educate students and also to ask for innovative From young leaders.

    I am happy I was in the top 30.

Istanbul is great but we , young people are ready to cooperate with the authorities so that Istanbul can still be the greatest city between Europe and Asia.
