Kigali the clean city

by | 19-03-2016 18:50

Air is the mixture of many gases at a given extent in the atmosphere:
-Nitrogen: 78%
-Oxygen: 20.95%
-Carbon dioxide: 0.03%
-Steam: 0.07%
-Noble gases: the rest
If one of these percentages increases it is air pollution. If an other gas or molecules mixes up with the so said mixture, it is also air pollution. Air pollutants vary and cause so many harms to the living organisms especially humans.
Nitrogen oxides and surphur oxides cause rain acids. carbon dioxide, steam, methane gas, nitrous oxide and fluorocabons cause global warming. There are dust, smogs, different smells as pollutants. the main source of greenhouse gases is from organic fuels which are highly used in the world.
Kigali is the capital city of Rwanda. It is said to be one of the most clean cities. This is due to waste management policies and their monitoring by the cities authorities. Not only in mornings but also every time in a day people are around the roads cleaning. I hope inside people's houses it is the same. when you arrive in most places of the city, it is very clean that no dust and smogs you may easily find.
Around the city there are dustbins not more than in 200m on which it is graved: KEEP KIGALI CLEAN. It is a strong point of hygiene control that no one throws wastes like a such. On the road side, there are good trees planted on the same line and grasses sideways. This is for creating a better environment if we know about photosynthesis.
For waste disposal, there is a landfill at Nduba which is very far from the dwelling place. However, when you come from other districts of the country to enter Kigali, you feel that the environment raises in temperature. This is because Kigali is the most industrialized city in Rwanda. There is too much movements of people.
The government is trying to counteract this problem for Kigali to be still the city of reference. Industries have been moved to the zone in the surrounding of the city. Policemen control the movements of vehicles to avoid much release of GHGs (global warming gases) in the atmosphere.
Me too I am interested in environmental issues. I am developing scientific ideas to fight against global warming. It's been the 4th year that I am conducting a research and came with an idea that I still need to some few tests. I hope friends of the environment and Tunza Eco generation will be one of the answers.
I wish every body would stand against every environmental threat.

Wish you good buddies around the globe!
