Out of the total 17 goals, the goal 7 which is ?Energy - Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all? is a key area developing countries need to focus on mainly due to two reasons. Firstly, power is required required for all sorts of activities such as business and education, and as a result, unsustainable and unreliable sources of power supply is a major constraint to a nation?s development. Secondly, using nonrenewable sources of energy emits tons of harmful gases into the atmosphere and ultimately accelerating the incidence of climate change. The Bangladesh government is also taking initiatives to popularize renewable energy sources. Although renewable energy is generated through various sources such as solar, wind and biomass, for now the Bangladesh Power Division is encouraging switching to solar power. Businesses are major consumers of energy and as more businesses are being set up, more power is being demanded day by day.
