 Sofitel Dubai Jumeirah Beach Hotel becomes a sustainable and recieves the Green certification. The luxury hotel has launched a number of new environmentally friendly initiatives and further developed existing practices in pursuit of this accreditation. The Hotel became socially and ecologically aware and has committed, as part of its Environmental Management System policy, to protect the environment in a number of different ways. The Hotel passed the audit to become ISO14001 certified. The objectives such as saving water, recycling waste, using certified copier paper and using eco friendly chemicals have been adopted to become environment friendly. "The whole team at Sofitel Dubai Jumeirah Beach is very proud to be ISO14001 certified. Within the modern business milieu, it is important to consider the value of being environmentally aware and work toward sustainability in all our activities. Having taken a significant step forward with this certification, we are on the cusp of a new era in how we conduct business." says, Mr Antoine M. Lhuguenot, general manager at Sofitel Dubai Jumeirah Beach. As part of this, the team at Sofitel Dubai Jumeirah Beach recently created a creative display in the lobby made purely out of recycled items. This was accompanied by a video, which educated guests with the hotel's recycling statistics.The Hotel further is planning to tie up with other companies that too have the goal of sustainable development. Hope the other Hotels too get inspired by this and they too go green in the next few years .
