One of the projects that caught people?s attention was the Nano Filter invented in Lulea University of Technology from Sweden. This project was supported by EU?s numerous research and educational institutes as well as companies and industries interested in Environmental application on their industry. This project can be noted that many environmentally harmful contaminants from process of industrial manufacturing can be purified with these Nano-filters.
Aji Mathew, the Associate Professor who is part of the division of materials Science at Lulea University of Technology in Sweden stated that these Nano Filter will be used in real-life situations for the first time ?within a process industry and in municipal wastewater treatment in Spain,? and that other industries have been fascinated by this new technology.
Aji Mathew?s graduate students Peng Liu and Zoheb Karim also helped out in her project. Peng claimed that they focused on how Nano-cellulose membranes can ?filter out heavy metals? by measuring various materials to figure out their capacity to absorb.
