Chemical Poison used in agriculture might be a better way of earning for manufacturers and farmers but are we aware about its side effects, its consequences in human health, environment and biodiversity? It's a question and is always cause we aren't.

Lets have a look at chain effects after using Pesticides:

1.     Pesticides cause series of problems like

2.     Degradation of soil

3.     Degradation of food quality

4.     Increase in pest problems, pollution of soil, water, air and products

5.     Health hazards

6.     Disappearance of Local Variety

So, to make aware about these losses and how to use pesticides judiciously and properly, we organized 2 days Training on  ?Safe Use of Pesticide and its Negative Impact Mitigation?. Altogether we organized 6 programs in different 6 locations around Chitwan Valley in over 3 months.

Our Program started with the Multiple Choice Questions to check knowledge of farmers participants and to deliver according to the knowledge. We are happy farmers are aware about pesticides as they scored around 9 also.

After MCQs, We introduced farmers about pesticides, its effects and mitigation. Also we introduced with them about Pesticides Banned in Nepal which counts 15. Latest Banned Pesticide in Nepal is "Endosulfan".

We also provided knowledge about safe use of pesticides and precautionary measures to be taken while apying pesticides in farm land. We urged people to use Apron and other necessary items like Cap, Googles, Hand Cover , Gum Boots and other necessary items so as to avoid inhaling and contact of posision in the body.

Farmers are happy with such programs and We are happy to deliver them to you. Also we introduced with them predators and pests and how farmers can mange them and utilize them.

Conditions was severe as Endosulfan quantity was found in breastfeeding woman. Many more problems are seen in the  world with the excessive use of pesticides. We showed video about the problems people are facing and farmers were shocked with this.
