International Mountain Day, celebrated in name of Mountain people, their resources and its promotion. Our Mountains are high our behavior is low incomparable. 23 % of Nepal's area is above the snowline and mountain occupies great potion of land. Despite the fact, Mountain is rich in natural resources, its full with unique diversity Mountain People are facing severe climatic problems, food insecurity.

Peoples there are at risk of catastrophic disaster that may occur any time like GLOF, Landslides, and Earthquakes. Not only these, Mountains are the first trekking sight that everyone eyes for. Everyone saturates with the cold breeze that blow across its landscape, everyone want to intermingle themselves with unique tradition and culture prevailing there, everyone wants memories with them, snap with mountain and its people.

About Essay Competition :

Though we live in Terai, its directly and indirectly benefitted y mountain. It's our glory, our pride and our head are always high as we are have Mt. Everest with us.

On occasion of IMD 2015, I organized ?OPEN ESSAY COMPETTION? under Tunza Eco Club opened last Friday in Milan English School by me. Its really great honor for me to be with these students sharing my ideas and unleash their own.

Judge :                        Narayan Sharma, Tunza Eco Generation,     Sujan Adhikari

Students from Class 6-10 are allowed to compete in this competition. Total of 24 students participated and results will be announced on next program.

Result and essays will be published in coming days.

Conclusion: Over the program was creative one and students were whole-heartedly coming to participate in the contest. I salute for their passion, their creativity.
