Theme: Environmental Sustainability

One of the most great initiative that I can think of, is encouraging the young minds  to think, explore, get involve, conceptualize, and implement climate change reality project starting in the academe world. I am a living legacy of legacy of TLA season 3 and still I am excited to work with the future generations.

The TECHNOLOGIAN LEADERS ACADEMY (TLA) is a leadership and character development program of the Cebu Institute of Technology - University Supreme Student Government 2012-2013. It aims to develop young emerging leaders to strengthen their Technologian values - Passion for Excellence, Teamwork and Tenacity, Interdependence, and Spirit of Altruism and Commitment - to enhance their competence and afford them the opportunity to serve the university.

In this year, TLA season 4 envision a green living, climate initiatives and environmental sustainability project conceptualized by the young minds of the university.

In line with TLA season 4 vision, last Saturday, November 28, 2015, 12:30 pm- 5:30 pm the program coordinator, Mr. Glenberth Tolentino, lead the academy in research workshop with the theme Environmental Sustainability. This workshop aims to buoy up young minds to conceptualize projects and initiatives to make CIT University a greener school. The speaker said that you cannot give a medicine to a person who does not need it. It is like you cannot give solution to a community/ school who deos need it. Specifically, the speaker emphasize that the young minds should learn first the basics of research before suggesting solutions. I believe that learning the fundamentals of research was such a great help in further conceptualizing their respective eco projects for the university
