On 6th. Nov?15  ,in the morning I went to St.Thomas Higher Secondary School, Jabalpur, to spread the word of Tunza Eco Generation and encourage the students to be a part of green initiatives and  take green action at local level.

This is a Christian missionary co- education school from kindergarten to  class – XII, more than 2000 students are  studying here. Father  Philips , the principal of the school was interested to know about Tunza eco-generation so he joined us in the interaction which involved  55 students  aged 13- 15 years.  To make them  members of the Tunza eco -gen, I guided them  and showed the system of updation of the details.

I shared various initiatives of Tunza eco - gen including ambassador report, essay contests, scope to take part in the Global Youth Eco –leadership Summit .   I told them the history about the formation of  the organization , the current year  theme ,  the activity of 60 ambassadors and support extended by the Samsung Engineering.

I had shared the information of the essay contest , for which  the last date for submission was extend up to10th. Nov?15. found most of the students were interested to take part in the contest.  The details of the resources available online related to air, water , energy etc.  was discussed with the students to help them write the essay effectively. I am sure most of them must have sent entries for the essay contest.

Most of the students are  attached with Facebook and twitter , but after learning about  Tunza Eco generation they are  very happy and requested me to open their account for them.  The information shared in the Card of Tunza Eco gen was explained and they were happy to receive pens whose body is made of recycled papers.

Lastly we took a group photograph . Posted here are the pictures of the students and along with the principal .I enjoyed interacting with the students  it was fun and learning.
