 Plastic ,its a hot topic ,it makes our life easier however is their cost on the environment worth it ? It is a common in our daily lives because of its ability to be shaped to almost any form to produce articles of practical values but it has adverse effect on the human health too. Today ,we can hardly look around us and not spot some items that is made entirely from plastic or has some plastic ingredient .But it has several effects on human health environment as well as it may cause cancer . Hence ,Clean up Nepal conducted Plastic Free Campaign on Oct 21 on Maulakalika temples and there were more than 20 volunteers and among them I was one of the volunteer of that programme .I feel it was prestigious and golden opportunity to be a part of that event which leads to the initiation of healthy environment around us . The main objectives of our program was to replace the plastic bag brought by devotees in temple by reuseable bags which is less harmful than plastic bags.The program was started from 5am and ended at 11am . We convinced the visitors in temple to replaced their plastic bags with reuseable bag and not only this we have collected the plastic from the temple area also .In this way we become able to replaced the plastic bags with the reuseable bags to some extend as our initiation. WE WANT PLASTIC FREE AREA FOR HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT |
