First, People should be educated on the proper ways of using plastic bags, this include recycling the bags itself. Scientists have proved that plastic bags can last for number of years without being decomposed. In my community the random spread of plastic bags is worse, you can nearly find them everywhere on the ground, it reach a point were people feel like it's just a normal thing to our environment.

Call up on Tanzania government please make sustainable policies that discourage the excessive use of cheap plastic bags, because they damp our environment. Tanzanians should learn from other African countries like Seychelles and South Africa for paying extra fee for plastic bags while shopping. In fact, this is not the solution of the existing problem, but at least people can learn to reuse the bags.

It's our responsibility and obligation to protect our environment. Please say NO to all unfriendly environmental activities.
