India follows various kind of beliefs. And I never appreciated that. I follow culture of donating my love and time to those who are among us and are less privileged. I was sitting with my elder sister near the Ganga river and I asked her what could be the benefit of us following so many beliefs. She smiled and said "look at the brighter side, don't concentrate on Broder picture look at the deeper picture" and she told me about the "chipko andolon" "Chipko andolon" a movement not only Indian but world should be proud of . So let me tell you about that. "In the 1970s, an organized resistance to the destruction of forests spread throughout India and came to be known as the Chipko movement. The name of the movement comes from the word 'embrace', as the villagers hugged the trees, and prevented the contractors' from felling them." this is how Google describes the movement. but the movement was an outcome of belief of people that every tree is a God's agent. We all should believe that . Tree are the most selfless creation that God had send in the world . Lets respect them. I believe that trees can hear us, they consider our need . Lets work together and build a green society. Lets consider them our best friend or a guide or even lets consider them God but let's save them . I know I can't live without trees and I bet even you can't . |
