by Luiz Bispo | 31-08-2015 12:01

Brazilian people are getting used to live in sustainable houses which provide comfort and economy to themselves. Brazil is among the group of four countries in the world regarding number of sustainable construction.

Recently, the country reached out the marking of about 41 thousands of sustainable units and certified by Aqua-HQE – International Green stamp from France origin. The stamp was applied in Brazil by the Vanzolini Foundation.

Due to the incentive to sustainable practices to construction, recently, the Aqua-HQE was nominated to the winner of the 14th Best Sustainable Marketing Award. The recognition is essential to value eco-friendly practices and to aware people, companies and government about the importance of a sustainable construction to the planet and to people.

São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro are the cities with most number of sustainable constructions available to the business agencies. The Aqua-HQE certified about 385 construction projects.

There is a new project called "New Sub-urbe". The idea is to house the Olympic athletes of the 2016 Rio Olympic Games in eco-friendly places. Indeed, that is a great moment to highlighting the issue and to educate and provide information to people about all benefits that the world can acquire with that.
