POOR SANITATION TRIGGERS BAD HEALTH

by | 31-08-2015 00:34

Indeed poor sanitation leads to bad health. I embarked on a research into salt mining at Anlo-Afiadenyigba in the Volta Region of Ghana.
As part of our research we are to educate the people in the community about the importance of keeping water bodies safe, create awareness about poor sanitation (open defecation and waste disposal in water bodies) and also empowering youth to take positive actions towards community development.

All this couldn?t come on due to my request form not been processed. I have to boycott the programme. I was excited about the programme but all turn the other way round. I invited leaders and a whole lot of great personalities and state holders to be present to help stop such sanitation problem facing the community.

I promised them I will be given out some stuffs from my NGO?s. I don?t even have the banner to exhibit. I want to also form Tunza_Eco-Movement and their motto will be ?Let make things right? but!

Aside the event objectives, I am to talk about Tunza Eco-Generation platform and register people to be on the platform, a brief presentation on water and a video on poor sanitation and ways of solving them.

Back to my observation at the community. Water bodies in the community has been polluted with human wastes, rubbish etc. Animal like pigs too go there to decorate the place. It wasn?t nice at all
I have to select some nice shoot to post. Pictures are worth saying see for yourself.
