Musical Celebration with focus on Environment

by | 06-08-2015 19:30

On 16th July, 2015 The Eco Minions(TEM) and SEW project organised Musical celebration and award function. The program was held at New Auditorium, Agriculture and Forestry University (AFU), Rampur, Chitwan, Nepal.

Our SEW team (of which I was team leader)  had received the certificate of appreciation from SAYEN and HANDPRINT. Along with that we had certificates for the SEW volunteers to distribute. So to mark the event and make it memorable we organised 'Musical Celebration' with theme 'One song for conservation, One Dance for Biodiversity'.

The main features of our program was environmental songs, dance, poem and slam poetry. In fact Slam Poetry was first of its kind in our University.

We divided the whole event into 'Environment session? and 'General Session'. In both session we had held songs, poem, slam poetry and dance with 'Environment session' having themes like: Biodiversity, Environment conservation and Ecology. Meanwhile, ?General session? was open type.

We had 38 performance altogether.  The program was cherishing and refreshing. After our musical celebration, we had certificate distribution program to our volunteers for their tireless effort in making the Project grand success. Also, we distributed certificates to SEW team. Finally, we bid adieu to our program through group photo with Handprint Flag.*

I  am thankful to Prashant Bhandari for pitching up the idea. The idea of musical celebration indeed performed its magic.

*Handpritn Flag has special value. Its in opposite meaning of ?Footprint?.

PS. I would like to encourge everyone to go through this link to know more about our SEW Project. (The project was selected as top 20 after cut-throat competition among South Asian countries and was funded by HANDPRINT which was also featured in SAYEN website)
