   Davao City has been known as the safest city in the Philippines through its strict policies and ordinances. But what about Davao being the most Eco-Friendly and Sustainable city in the country? Yes! the government is working on it and the Eco-Fest is one of the local activities that provided Davaowenyos an opportunity to share and learn various green practices and ecological and sustainable programs. Being one of the organizers of the event, we invited from business sectors, schools, organizations, barangays and individuals to showcase their ecological practices, innovations and initiatives through a week long exhibit, green discussions and forums. We also provided activities to children through environmental story-telling and coloring sessions. On the Friday, an organic market fair was launched. The event ended with an environmental concert lead by finest nature-loving artists and musicians in the city. It was such a great experience! Mainstreaming environmentalism, We will push it again next year! |
