![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() On 3rd of July, 2015 I organized an Environmental awareness workshop for government school students based on Green Lifestyle, which was attended by 40 students. To get maximum output in minimum time and to make it more easy and interesting I designed a quiz cum discussion format. That means after every question I will answer their queries and discuss about the root cause and solutions of the problem. To make it more interesting and engaging there was a system of rewarding students with chocolates and pens for every right answer. So, I started with simple questions like - what is Environment? What is Pollution? What is Climate change and Global Warming? And then started the main part of workshop- GREEN LIFESTYLE. First of all, I asked all students to share their daily lifestyle and then I asked some basic questions like- What is the best and Eco friendly method to brush your teeth? What is the best transport option for short and long distance? CFL vs incandescent bulb, which is the best option to save energy and why? Are you carrying a water bottle with yourself and what?s the advantage of it? Etc. These are some question which I discussed during the workshop. Apart from these questions we also discussed some other topics like- Food waste, Waste management, Plastic waste problem, Eco Friendly fuels etc. After that I asked them about the role of children in Environmental conservation and what they can do to save our environment? Their answers and ideas were really amazing. After the 2 hour long discussion I noticed one common thing among all students and that was- Green Attitude. Yes, they were full of green and positive attitude. From Morning Brush to Dinner they all were really excited to green their lifestyle and what else do I need from them? Their love, affection and respect were more than enough for me. It was like passing an exam with distinction. After that I also promoted our Tunza Eco-Generation platform among the participants and gave them TEG leaflets ,pens, post-it, B.card, chocolates and other stationery to all students and remind them to look at the Tunza Eco-Generation website to see wonderful work carried on by all of us.
P.S.- Thanks Eco-Generation team. It wouldn't have been possible without your support. |
