![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Air we breathe, food we eat, fruits we have in our table, paper we write on, water that?s being up hold on the ground all are but the few blessing of the trees. If I start jotting down advantages of trees, without any doubt,I will be writing next odyssey. But what have we done to nature?s most precious gifts- cut them down for self-benefits for which we have coined a term ?Deforestation?. That?s what many of us are doing and promoting knowingly and unknowingly. Nevertheless, we have some good news as well. Plantation of trees at barren land. It was the amalgamation of encouragement from regular ambassador reports by my fellow Ambassador and opportunity provided by Nepalese Friendship Society in collaboration with Pokhari tol I could participate in the tree plantation program. I along with Bindu di, Aksana Dallakoti, Upakar Bhandari( also an active member of Tunza E-gen) and Ashish Niraula brother participated on the program on the request of Birendra brother. The program was held on Pokhari Tol at 6:30. We had nearly 200 saplings of Murraya Paniculata( also called bajredanti in Nepali language). The program was inaugurated by Narayan Prasad Sapkote Chief of Bharatpur Sub-Metro Politan(BSMP) City. We also had the presence of noticeable person like Co-ordinator of Civil society of Bharatpur-11 Hemraj Giri, secretary of BSMP-11 Tulsi Prasad Poudel , President of Nabajagarit Community Forest Prakash Kandle and so forth. We planted few trees which were guarded by the bamboo frame. After the plantation program, we distributed two saplings per family( which has been a environmental campaign of Bharatpur city- One house two tree). Nothing could be more fun and awesome than working with community people and getting indulged on environmental activities. |
