![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() In Indonesia, plastic is major element of trash. It is not a secret anymore since everybody has known it. To response this case, the government through environment ministry has already issued some regulations to control plastic population and domestic product factories has rolled out refill edition of their products. But, those are not enough to minimize the number of plastic trash. It is time for individual to implement 3R (reuse, reduce, recycle) in daily activities. I really like reusing unused containers and cans for many purposes unless for food storage. Since purchasing refill items can help me to push the cost, I really like collecting mineral water and perfume containers. Here, I use a perfume plastic bottle to store refill of glass cleaner. I cut mineral water bottles for being storage to floor disinfectant, soap, clothespins and clothes softener. Beside of reducing the number of trash, this way can help us to use resources (money and material) efficiently and it makes our stuff tidier and manageable compared to using their original refill containers. Frankly, I should admit that I am not handy enough to transform those bottles to be beautiful. But, I think implementing 3R is not always transforming trash to be new and pretty things. Because if we only focus on that paradigm, for people who are not really good in art like me, 3R will be difficult to do. So, lets start to utilize unused containers around us and spread the messages to others. Bonus: Eye Candy! This summer will be a lovely summer ever! Because sunflowers planted by me in last February are blooming. But sadly, I should leave them for working in Jakarta. I planted them in pots and put them in balcony where they can enjoy sunbathing all day :) |
