This World Environment Day 2015 was truly a very memorable one for me as something happened that made the entire year special.

The Sharjah Environment Awareness Award (SEAA) is one of the most prestigious environmental honors in the UAE given to any school, Kindergarten or individual. The award focuses on all aspects concerning the environment and scrutinizes individuals based on their achievements in the field of ecological benevolence.

This award is presented by the Bee?ah School of Environment, which is an affiliate of Bee?ah, Sharjah?s leading Waste Management Co.

I am extremely elated to share that I won the 1^st Place in the Outstanding Student category, in which more than 15 individuals participated, out of whom, 5 were shortlisted and three were presented with the honor in a grand ceremony held at Al Jawaher Convention Centre on 4^th June, to mark the World Environment Day 2015.

Co-Ambassador to UAE, Abhinav Singla, achieved Second Place and Aaron Fernandes, achieved Third Place in this Category. It was a truly cherish able moment for students, teachers and parents alike. It was truly a proud moment for Eco-Generation too, as Eco-Gen?s Ambassador?s bagged the top 2 positions in the Student Category and even in the Outstanding Teacher Category, Anjum Hasan, Winner of the 2014 Hidden Eco-Hero Awards, won the First Place.

It was an amazing day for each and every one of us who were rewarded for our environmental efforts and drive towards keeping our mother earth sustainable!
