Hello, fellow Ambassadors and Eco generation members. Today, I would like to discuss the campaign that I had with my school environment club members. On May 6th, when our middle school had a short spring vacation, I went to Mt. Gwanak with my club members. Mt. Gwanak is located in Gyeongki Province. Since it is near to Seoul and is near to subway, many people visit this mountain. (The location of Mt. Gwanak)
This year, I made a club dealing with the environmental issues at school, and six of them and I went to Mt. Gwanak to have a campaign. We conducted an investigation on the status quo of National Parks and promoted TUNZA. Since my friends did not wanted their face to be uploaded in this international website, I concealed their face with stickers. I beg your understanding.

Before the campaign, I asked TUNZA Eco-generation for the promotional goods, including Banner, pencil, and so on. I thank TUNZA for such a huge support. We distributed TUNZA goods to hikers in order to promote TUNZA. (Me and my friends holding the banner and promoting TUNZA) We parceled out TUNZA pencil and posit, shouting "We should preserve the environment!". I also explained what TUNZA is to the hikers. Moreover, we held placards and announced the importance of the environment. The placard that I made had the sign saying "Let's return the nature that we borrowed from future generation cleanly." Other friends wrote "Go, Green!", "Trash in the trashcan", and so on.

After the campaign, we cleaned the mountain by picking up the trashes. However, while doing the activity, I realized that trash were rarely found. It made me feel proud of its preservation status.

It was very meaningful for me since it was my first time to conduct campaign on my own, from the planning stage to actually doing it. Unlike my original thought, the hikers there were very kind that they kindly listened to my explanation and so on. Moreover, the fact that the mountain was very clean made my really happy. I would like to carry out other campaign as well, for our planet Earth. |
