 To create awareness about Plants and the diseases of plants and crops, also to prevent these diseases and protect plants from insects and to secure maximum yielding, a new type of clinic/ hospital is launched in Bangladesh. It is expected that this new clinic, named Plant Doctor Clinic will provide solutions for problems regarding plants and crops, all one has to do, is to bring the sample of the troubled plant. For the first time, this type of clinic is launched in Bangladesh, away from the capital city, Dhaka, in a place named Tangail. The Thana Nirbahi Officer of Agriculture of Tangail, Mohammad Anwar Hossain Khan says, "The primary concern of this clinic is to provide natural and organic fertilizers, insecticides instead of chemical and synthetic ones. Most of the farmers lack technological and institutional knowledge. For which, they apply chemical fertilizers and insecticides as they are cheap in price. But they are not concerned about the environment pollution caused by these kind of substances.Moreover, these substances make the crops unhygenic as well, also harming the natural reproduction system. So this clinic has a major duty to replace these substances with natural and organic ones to keep our nature safe." Mr. Khan also adds that two pilot clinic is founded in this area, and after successfull completion of pilot project, they have plans to found more.
