Limitations of managing waste into a major obstacle in the environment. An increasingly consumerist society, without knowing it has caused a lot of problems. They felt as if only could use it, without knowing the impact. Environment is one of the essential components for humans, certainly, if an important component of the problem will affect the human being. Data received by the results of research in the journal Science published Friday, February 13, 2015 stated that Indonesia ranks second in the list of 20 countries most widely produced plastic waste at sea. And every year there are 12.7 million tonnes of plastic waste in the oceans. It was ironic seeing such conditions. Because, basically, the problem of waste is a common problem that must be solved together.

Today, Indonesia is the fourth most populous countries in the world, with a total population of 237 million. It is estimated that this population will grow to 270 million by 2025. The number of population, it is expected to be generated garbage as much as 130,000 tons / day. This is a great potential as a resource (material that can be recycled, energy sources, etc.), but is now largely remained a source of pollutants. Waste reduction, which aims to limit the volume of waste generated should be done immediately.

Waste problem not only in society but also in the school environment. The students are not fully aware of the waste problem that occurs in schools. Not only students but this is a shared responsibility to keep the school environment clean of trash. With these conditions, we have the initiative to change their mindset to be more concerned about the environment, especially the problem of waste. School environment that we choose are the students of Vocational High School (VHS) 1 Kendal, Central Java. Why is it? Because the potential to be implemented, Geographically, VHS 1 Kendal is not far from the city center and located on the north coast path. Of course, with the geographic location of the center of attention of many people, to the environment around VHS 1 Kendal need attention. Skill Competence of VHS 1 Kendal has potential to be utilized in the implementation of the program the student creativity in this community service. Harnessing the potential of VHS 1 Kendal related waste utilization schools will shape the character of the school community itself, giving the school community awareness and increase knowledge related to the environment. From the results of the profit school trash waste can be used, for example, can be used as a garbage fabric craft that would have selling points.

We plan to build Shariah Trash Bank in VHS 1 Kendal, because skill competency of VHS 1 Kendal potential of the program is implemented. Existing waste bank using a conventional system but the concept that we have built is a trash bank uses shariah banking system in which all components of the board that is in the Bank's Shariah garbage guilty of competency expertise of the school. Competency skills of VHS 1 Kendal is Accounting, Shariah Banking, Office Administration, Dressmaking, Marketing, Multimedia, and Television. Thus aside sailed students are more concerned about the environment but these programs can empower the expertise of students in accordance with their competencies. Before implementing sharia garbage Bank program we conduct education and training on Shariah Trash Bank. Because the training is very important for the sustainability of the establishment of Shariah Trash Bank. In our training to educate and facilitate the students very interested and voluntary commitment in building Shariah Trash Bank at school. In the education we deliver on institutional and governance of Shariah Trash Bank, recycling of plastic waste, paper, and organic. Our training sessions to discuss the form of focus group discussions to create institutional structures, vision and mission, policies, and waste banks sharia picket schedule while also providing training associated with litter box, litter bottle packaging, and organic waste.
