This exhibition took place from 21st-23rd of April 2015, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC) and was one of the largest exhibitions in the country, with exhibitors from numerous countries taking part, displaying their latest technologies and equipment and accentuating their corporate profiles and disseminating awareness about products and services while sharing green ideas and best practices with the world?s leading roleplayers in the Water, Energy, and Environment Technology industries and firms. 

     Last week, on Earth Day, I had the marvellous opportunity to attend the exhibition as a student visitor. The exhibition was a part of the GREEN WEEK initiated by the Dubai Government. I interacted with the exhibitors of many different countries. All exhibitors had their own unique innovations to  display. I found the green tech of Saudi Arabia, South Korea,India,Switzerland and UAE to be the most well-designed innovations.

    Intrigued by their ideas, I had the urge to know more about the technology of each of these regions.

    I came across a Swiss firm Diesoil that turns plastic into oil. The main concept of the firm is waste to energy and waste to oil. With its patented technologies Diesoil offers full turn-key solutions for the transformation of plastic waste into mineral oils.

     India and Saudi Arabia had projects based on generating grey water in the washrooms in public places. Grey Water and sullage is defined as wastewater generated from plates and wash-hand basins, showers and baths, which, because it is nearly as clean as potable water, can be recycled onsite for uses such as toilet flushing, landscape irrigation and constructed wetlands.

    I also made sure that every stall visited received my bussiness card and thus, at the end of the day, many exhibitors knew about the Eco-generation platform. 

  All in all, the experience was enriching and rewarding!
