![]() ![]() I would like to give you some information about some of the different environmental activities in Hong Kong. As you might know, the Environmental Protection department in Hong Kong had organised the Shorelines Cleanup Day 2015. On the 25th April, Kowloon Tong Bishop Walsh Catholic School participated in this event in Lung Kwu Tan in Tuen Mun and I also joined them to clean the waste that was lying on the shore of the beaches. Apart from students, many adults and parents also got involved. From this experience, I discovered that the beaches there were distinctly polluted. It has been only been one and half years since I first came to Hong Kong, and I have only visited pristine and clean beaches, so I did not realise at first that there were some beaches that needed cleaning up. I hope that this gives you an inspiration to be aware of and to participate in the Shorelines Cleanup activity. |
