At least once in the life, everyone should have a visit to a Indian Marriage. It will surely end up with a experience. It's with me also. I went to a village approximately 230 KM from place to attend a marriage. It was a remote village. The name it holds is "Muhammadganj". I have also included a map as a screenshot. The outlined area of this village is supported by farmers and traders. Although, their earning is not high, yet they have significant involvement in environment protection which, obviously, makes them the king. The entire village works on solar plates. They solely believe in the idea of earth protection. At every corner of the street, I found street light with solar plates attached with it along with a CFL bulb. These initiative began in 2008 and has continued since then. They have access to very little electricity, mostly on a timely scheduled. And that thing has only pushed them to move forward with this step. They have now installed solar plates in their houses to light up the bulbs. Almost every house is using low power CFL device which consumes 75% less power than normal bulb but give equal lighting. They also keep a charging device to held up the lighting problem faced during night hours. Their entire lighting system are based on renewable resource, i.e Sun. When asked about the benefit from of the local, he said it has led me to save various amount of money so that we can send my daughter to government school. Our living condition has increased very much. My both daughter study at night under proper lights. And since we are using CFL bulbs and renewable energy through solar plates, I have stopped thinking about lightning problems in my house. This is a mind blowing step, though simple, but the most important one. And the reason it fancied me the most is because I, myself, is working on this project in my city. I also came to know that the entire process was initiated by the head of the village. That sounds interesting. Because usually we have the habit of accusing the politicians for everything. And here, it's them who started this and now it's everywhere. At least one in every house and every corner of the street. You can find the map of the village below. The village is situated in Jharkhand state of India.
