BRAZIL, GREENPEACE Solar Project

by Luiz Bispo | 05-04-2015 15:41

The constant environmental problems caused by the depletion of non-renewable energy have brought interest in the use of alternative energy sources. Nevertheless, solar energy is a significant option in the search of less aggressive energy sources to environment. That is because solar energy is renewable and clean ( do not release greenhouse gases).

The non profit organization Greenpeace Brazil raised a project called "Solar School". The goal is to insert solar panels in two public schools. One in Sao Paulo and another one in Minas Gerais. For that, the organization operates an online donation system.

Aiming to raise $100,000 the system till now could get around half of the target. That is enough financial amount to accomplish the project in one of the schools. More than 1,800 students can benefit from the sun power and solar energy. Instead of paying energy bills, the schools will invest into cultural activities such as cinema, theater and even educational trips.

That is a great action under Greenpeace Brazil and hopefully the goal shall be done. The environment and the culture will thank for the action.
