Classroom Date: 20 March 2015 As a supervisor of the Introduction to Forestry Engineer subject I am able to provide some of the topics discussed in class. The topic was Management of Forest Stand. What are the main techniques to acquire a right management way? Under some of the important strategies it is possible to mention two of them. They are: 1. Controlling of leaf-eating ants. That is a significant challenge within the forest production context due to the fact that the leaf-eating ants can destroy crops of commercial forest. They may eat the leaf and consequently decrease its photosynthesis area. The individuals get more difficult to grow and so therefore negatively affect the production system. 2. Controlling of Weed-Competing That is another very essential controlling method you intend to obtain a nice commercial forest. While growing, plants compete for three main nature elements which are sunlight, water and nutrients. If the weed which is placed around a certain tree or plant is not controlled, in other words, removed around, the plant will be faced by a significant problem to be raised properly and with power. That occurs exactly because the weed take part of the fundamental elements which would be supposed to proceed for a target tree. These were two very important topics mentioned for the first year course students of Forestry Engineer. Afterwards the student went for a sort of planting introduction activity offered by a university group of research called Forest Group Monte Olimpo. |
