The Crown Prince of Dubai is supporting a global conservation programme of rehabilitation of endangered species in Dubai. An eagle named Darshan is the Ambassador for endangered animals all over the world in Dubai. To promote this cause an NGO Freedom Conservation are trying to attempt a world record as the highest recorded bird flight from a man-made structure.

A camera will be attached with Darshan & it?ll be flown over Burj Khalifa, The world?s tallest Building on 14-Mar-15. The organisers of the world attempt state they will strap on a Sony ActionCam Mini camera onto the bird of prey, which will go on to record a bird?s eye perspective of the landscape, capturing footage that will be broadcasted to the world.

If achieved, the white-tailed eagle?s flight from the top of Burj Khalifa, which stands at a height of 829.8 metres or 2,722 feet, will represent a world first as the highest recorded bird flight from a man-made structure.

The eagle attempting the flight, named Darshan, is an example of a threatened species, which has been successfully rehabilitated through global conservation programmes, and will act as an ambassador for endangered animals all over the world.

To promote this event Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has posted on Instagram a video of an eagle soaring over Dubai and capturing remarkable views of the city.
