On the Special occasion of the Maha Shivaratri (17 February), one of the main festival of the Hindus we students of the IAAS Paklihawa campus along with our teacher organized a small campaign on the college with the theme ?Lets avoid plastics in the college premises ??. As the plastics are making the surrounding looks dirtier and also are the non degradable, it is polluting the environment. So, to make the surrounding a little bit healthier we conduct the program.

We started the program by collecting the plastics and other non degradable materials starting from the main entry gate of the college and continued the program by visiting the college area and having collection of the plastics bags, polythene, plastic wrappings of the fast foods, etc. We found there are huge amount of the plastic materials all over. It has occupied the huge area and we collected large amount of the plastic materials. The plastic things were collected in the dustbins and finally disposed in the dumping sites.

At last after the collection and cleaning activities we made the agreement that not to avoid the plastics as much as possible and if not at least not to throw the plastics materials elsewhere but to collect it and throw in the dustbin and which will be disposed by the concern authority in the dumping sites. We also had made the rule to punish those who avoid the agreement. Finally, the program was concluded by promising to continue such activities and programs in the upcoming days.
