well this article is based on the research by my respected teacher i would like to share to the world. climate change is becoming a burning issue of general as well as scientific consideration. Apart from other areas, livestock sector, which is an integral part of nepalese economy, also cant's remain isolated. Research highlighted in major aspects of climate change focusing to the adaptation perspectives. emphasis has been given to the consequences on health, feeding, general management, production as well as reproduction of the major livestock species. apart from this possible coping strategies by animal itself under the changed climatic context are also addressed. it is in deed essential to plan coping strategy with emerging uncertainties focusing to the livestock. available literature suggest that there have been already numerous impacts of climate change with regard to production and productivity of livestock species including emergence of health issues, breeding hazards, fluctuation in production and emergence of invasive non forage species in the rangeland. There is thus critical and instant need to address climate change issues and related hazards as this is serious problem to the livestock community. livestock producers have traditionally adapted to various environmental and climatic changes by building on their in depth knowledge of the environment in which they live but scientific inference to the issues is equally important to consider. |
