The first event of the Clean Up Sharjah Campaign was the Clean Up Walkathon which was held on Friday 2^nd January 2015. The event was held at 4 different areas of Sharjah namely Al Majaz, Al Wahda, Abu Shagara and Al Qassimia. It was a beautiful Friday morning when the event started with over 100 volunteers of all age groups ranging from small children to adults taking part actively in keeping the city clean. The Volunteers assembled in the 4 areas and walked towards the common meeting point which was the Al Majaz Waterfront cleaning all the way long.

 The Event was first of its kind as it was a Clean-Up Walkathon Campaign which was picking up Recyclable as well as General Waste and having a walkathon too. Also it was the first Clean-Up Campaign which was initiated, planned and organized by Students. Over 150 bags of Garbage were collected. The event was supported by Barakat Quality Plus and A-Studios.
