Is it enough if we just simply do by our own and involve none? Is It enough if we limit our program to 4 walled room? Is it good if we wrap up everything we learned in our paper only and make other not aware? I will say big ?NO?. It?s through the sharing of our knowledge or ?everything-we-were-taught? we give true meaning to what we gained. It?s only through joining in hands, opening our palm we can cooperate and other will cooperate. To make our aim successful, mobilize youths and create atmosphere of harmony, belonging and friendship, The Eco Minions(TEM) under my leadership collaborated with Agri-youth Nepal(AYN) and conducted ?SEW?s Mass Awareness Rally Towards Sustainability?(SMARTS) under SEW:Sustainable and Ethical Waste Management Project(SEW) on December 28,2014. The main motive of our rally was to aware all the staff(both teaching and non teaching) of university aware about the importance of Cleanliness, current Climate change treand and urge them to act from their side in mitigating climate change causing factors.Beside these, out other motive were to build friendship among different students of various faculties of the University, know eachothe and also develop common platform for future. The program was formally started by distributing our volunteers t-shirts and taking 5 minutes of ?Moment of Silence? for world peace, greenery and Sustainability. Then we started our rally carring various play cards. We moved in two line, walking silently and displaying our message through our playcards. We went to every corner of the university. Our major focus was on Quatar where most of the staffs along with their family dwell. We went to every house, informed them about our upcoming ?Cleanliness Program? as well. We invited them into our rally and we were happy to see them joining. Thus, through the rally we were able to inform everyone about our cleanliness program, show how much interested youth are into greener tomorrow and rejoice out time as well. Here are some of the glimpse of the event: |
