To hone my speaking skills, I attend the junior club of Toastmasters called Gavaliers.

As a gavel, we are required to make a series of speeches on a range of topic with a set of pre-defined objectives for every speech.

To spread environmental awareness to my fellow gavaliers, I decided to make one of my speeches on the environment.

I started by explaining about the environment, factors that are behind weather change and what we do to make it happen. I then told them of organizations that encourage the preserving the environment like TUNZA Eco-generation. I went on to explain that though the state of the environment is rapidly deteriorating, there are ways in which it can be ameliorated and explained to them , how exactly this could be done eg.Using both sides of the paper when printing.

After the meeting, I distributed Eco-generation pamphlets and other promotional goods and explained to my enthusiastic fellow gavaliers how they could implement environmentally friendly steps on a continued and consistent basis.

They seemed very eager to learn and implement these things in their lives and I hope that I was able to impact them in a small way, so that it may have a huge positive effect on the environment and on the lives of others in the future.
