What it Adiwiyata? Adiwiyata is one of the Ministry of Environment in order to encourage the efforts of knowledge and awareness of the school community in an effort to advance environmental conservation. In this program is expected that each school community can get involved in school activities towards a healthy environment and avoid negative environmental impacts.

Program objectives Adiwiyata is to create good conditions for the school to be a place of learning and awareness of the school community (teachers, students and other workers), so that in future the school community can take responsibility in the effort-an effort to save the environment and sustainable development.

Adiwiyata program was developed based on the norms-norms in berperikehidupan which include: togetherness, openness, equality, honesty, fairness, and the preservation of the environment and natural resources.

As one of the inhabitants of this planet, we are obliged to preserve nature and the environment. That is why in some time ago, SMK N 1 Kendal collaborate with KOPHI conduct educational activities of Green School with the theme "Metamorph of Green Action". SMK N 1 kendal a vocational high school in the middle of the town of Kendal, Central Java, Indonesia. Currently SMK 1 Kendal being pioneered to become School Adiwiyata (green school).

This activity lasted for 2 days. This activity was followed by all the students and teachers of SMK N 1 Kendal. In this activity KOPHI not work alone, we invite volunteers KOPHI consisting of several students to participate and help.

On the first day, we filled activities with the provision of material about what it Adiwiyata School (Green School ), vertical garden, trash and tumbler, and biopori. Students are excited to listen to the material provided. Occasionally we also organize games so that students do not feel tired and bored.

On the second day of a practice activity. So the material that has been diberika yesterday in practice by the student on the second day. Students are divided into several teams. There is a charge of making a hole biopori, there are given the task of making the practice of vertical garden, there is also the practice of making compost from leaf litter that exist around the school environment. All school community participated in this activity is no exception teachers . The teachers also participate and help, there are planting trees, making biopori hole, making the park drugs, etc.

Achievement end Adiwiyata program is expected to form environmentally friendly school. Environmentally school is a school that implements the values ​​of love and care for the environment at school. Environment-based teaching and school community awareness of the importance of the environment is an important part of school life environmentally sound. Moreover, SMK N 1 Kendal being pioneered to become school Adiwiyata (green school).
