Climate change and NASA

by | 14-12-2014 00:31

When we talk about NASA, the big achievements in the history of mankinds appear in front of our eyes. But not many people know NASA is also involved heavily into environmental science and issues related to Climate change.

I always feel that an integrated study of various aspects will bring the most desired outcome and that?s the reason I would like to highlight the actions by NASA here to show an integrated way forward to the issues related to environment and climate change.

NASA plays an active role in research on global climate and atmosphere. They try to get the answers on various burning questions of today, like :  How much warmer will the Earth get? How far will the rising seas progress?

You may learn many aspects of NASA?s activities in this field from the following page: http://www.nasa.gov/agency/sustainability/index.html#.VIxYWyuUeSr

Now, here is the latest news from NASA on Climate change initiatives:

Starting 2015, Nasa will send five new airborne field campaigns to the skies to investigate how long-range air pollution, warming ocean waters and fires in Africa affect our climate.

It is expected that these new investigations will address a variety of key scientific questions critical to advancing our understanding of how Earth works.
