  Do you ever see a wind turbine? Usually in European country which has an enormous wind current and they build up like a big windmill. They are converting forces energy from wind into mechanical energy, which can be used to light up electricity. Well now, maybe you don't yet know, that in the sea, the currents are use in the same way, only the use the sea water current to do it. Since 70% of our planet covered by water, it is a great place to harvesting energy from the sea. It is more famous to be called the Tidal Energy What is it? Marine currents, unlike many other forms of renewable energy, are a consistence source of kinetic energy caused by regular tidal cycles influenced by the phases of the moon. While the other energy like wind and sun are inconsistent in the term of sunshine doesn't always reach us if there's cloud and wind also doesn't always blow, Tidal energy will become more likely to be used as a renewable energy. How it works? Tidal turbines are likely more similar with windmills except the rotors are driven by consistent, fast-moving currents. The submerged rotors harness the power of the marine currents to drive generators, which in turn produce electricity. |
