Poor rainfall in Denmark has resulted in significantly reduced inflows into drinking water dams. Denmark?s primary water source, Quickup Dam, is at 60% capacity – which is below the level required to meet the community?s water needs over the coming year. To ensure there is enough water to supply the community until next winter, Stage 5 scheme water restrictions will be in place for Denmark scheme water users from Wednesday 3 December 2014. Under Stage 5 restrictions, automatic irrigation systems, sprinklers and the like may be used one day per week, before 9am or after 6pm on your designated watering day. |
