   Yesterday, to promote Tunza, I went to a nearby government school. Before I began, I decided to take a look at the school infrastructure and quality. I started with the buildings. There conditions were obviously not as per expectation. The inspection held for two after after which I started the event. The day was celebrated as annual school day for the school. So it was a nice time to have this event held when there would be every student present in the school. During the inspection, I moved to the entire infrastructure, took a closer look at every system. The toilets were dirty. Huge collection of waste were there, just outside the toilets' window which was producing foul smell. Due to improper drainage system, water was overflowing out of the veins. The student were obliged to use these toilets. When asked, the student said about the daily routine of the school staff which didn't include the cleaning of toilet everyday. The corners of every turn in the compound was a stop for waste. The rooms don't have proper lightning system which lead to many defect in students eyes in early age. The second phase was with the mid-day meal scheme. It's a scheme launched by government to serve a type of food called, 'Khichari'. It's a combination of pulse, rice and water. Though the food is healthy at it's point, the way and the place where it is cooked was a home of diseases. The kitchens was situated in a open place with a piece of clothe hanging around it, to make a cover. The surrounding place were accomplished with dust, smoke and waste. The mosquitoes were flickering around the food and since it's situated in open place, the unhealthy food has caused serious fatal along with death and injurious to several kids. It's don't take much time to hear the continuing news about founding dead lizards, frogs in food. Some children has also losses their life due to this carelessness. When my inspection was done, I went to do the work for which I was actually there. I brought a projector, mike, speaker and a laptop with me. The kids settled down in a room and the projector was set-up. The event took place for half an hour. The kids were made to know Tunza, United Nation, Environment and Green Living. They were told about various measures being used in foreign countries and by different agencies. They were taught about different steps that should be followed at home to save electricity and water. They were also told about different opportunity offered by Tunza. From it's Regional Ambassador program to monthly competition. When I was done, I had an meeting with the school principal. I told him about implementing new scheme regarding the mid-day meal and safety concern. I also managed to convince him to bring computers to school to help the children in getting connected to the outer world and Tunza.
