Monthly Free Report November - Algal Biofuel

by Sagar Koirala | 10-02-2023 17:55

Today I am writing about new renewable source of Energy called Algal biofuel.

Algal biofuels are a sort of sustainable energy source made from the microscopic aquatic organisms known as microalgae. Long used as a fuel source, algae is now being considered as a potential answer to the world's worsening energy dilemma. In comparison to fossil fuels, algae-based biofuel is seen to be a more environmentally friendly option because it produces less greenhouse gases and can be generated swiftly and affordably.

There are various ways to make algae-based biofuel, but the most popular method involves gathering the algae, extracting the oil, and then turning it into biodiesel or biogas. The oil can also be converted into a variety of goods, including bioplastics, gasoline, and jet fuel.

Algal biofuel generation is comparatively efficient and needs just small inputs, such as water and sunlight. Algae are a cheap fuel source since they develop quickly and can be harvested in a few days. Algal biofuel is also more environmentally friendly than other types of biofuel because it doesn't need a lot of space or water to grow. Algal biofuel offers several environmental advantages. It contributes to reducing global warming because, among other things, it creates fewer greenhouse emissions than fossil fuels.
