by | 28-11-2014 01:53

According to the latest findings of the Environment and Awareness Behavior Survey by the Environment Agency-Abu Dhabi, the level of environmental awareness has only trended up over time.

This trend has been seen to have occurred with the most far –reaching results in the construction sector where the overall environmental awareness level rose from 24%in 2012 to 81% in 2013.

As compared to 58% reporting pro-environment practices in 2012, this figure increased to 68%.

Home to a wide range of nationalities and cultures, the survey conducted in the U.A.E had the following inferences:

Awareness programmes that aim to spread environmental awareness have been rendered effective.

The awareness has yielded fruit in the form of the various environmental initiatives that have taken place in the U.A.E.

It goes to show that the foresighted efforts taken by the U.A.E government have shown positive results in terms of environmental awareness.

However, the challenge that now waits to be conquered is that of effective and prolonged implementation that will serve to benefit society in the long run.
