Air Pollution Increase Due To Vehicle Emission

by | 22-11-2014 01:25

The drastic upsurge of the air pollution due to vehicle emission has becoming an alarming concern globally. Over rising population growth is one of the main contributing factor that leads to air contaminating pollutions. As the country's population is increasing, the number of families in the society also increases. Common family properties would therefore increase which include of the rising vehicles owned, which contribute to the addition of pollutant gases present in the air. Many rising developing country, has boosted economic due to the enormous investors capitalizing financial into the countries. With more investors, come more buildings, more factories and industrial edifices again contributing to air pollution.

Subsequently, government also bears critical responsibilities of becoming the environmental agent to uphold the regulation of the facilities? emissions in order to ensure minimum impact on public health and surrounding ecosystems. Many undeveloped countries has neglected and has failed in their regulatory responsibility during the developing process by having barriers to access to information on emissions, inadequate and inconsistent regulations and enforcement, and ineffective toxic substance management programs. Such neglects has led to inattention of environment and ecological disruption where air pollution getting deteriorated rapidly at an alarming index. General public are not exposed with proper awareness programme towards the environmental well-being due to inefficiency of government regulatory and inattentiveness. As a result, it leads to intensification of air pollution specifically due to delinquent vehicle emission.

Moreover, the public transport system in Malaysia is not that convenient for the community. The public transport such as KTM, buses and so on do not follow their timetable tightly caused the unsatisfiedness of publics. Furthermore, the facility of publics? transports in our country is not user friendly for disabled. They may not be able to take a ride on the public transport such as bus without the help from others.

There are many ways and steps to minimize or stop this problem that is getting serious in our surroundings. Introduction and implication of green technology could helps to reduce the amount of pollutants and impact of vehicle used to our environment. The examples for green technology are such as hybrid car, electric car and so on. Hybrid car combine a combustion engine with an electric motor and battery. The two technologies can be combined to reduce fuel consumption and tailpipe emissions. Hybrids capture energy lost during braking and return it to the battery, called "regenerative braking." A hybrid engine also operates more efficiently and produces less pollution than does combustion alone. The hybrid cars are becoming more popular in our country especially with the tax exemption benefits given by our government as a effort to reduce pollutions and conserve our environment by reduce oil usage. The other green technologies that can be use are such as electric car that works completely without fuel. Emission control device, catalytic converter also converts toxic byproducts of combustions in the exhaust of internal combustion enginer to less toxic substances also helps to reduce air pollutions.

Apart from that, government should cooperate with private company who operate the public buses, LRT, Monorail and so on. Funds should be given to helps these company to improve their facility especially safety facility and facility for disable. Services providers are urge to follow their timetable tightly.
