Freshwater crisis

by | 20-11-2014 05:01

Crisis of water, the freshwater crisis – how often do you hear these words in MSM - twice a week or once a month? Meanwhile the crisis of freshwater has taken a dangerous turn. Although our society accepted the existence of crisis of portable water and actively struggle against that, the problem still exists.

Facts are as follows that 1, 1 billion people don?t have access to fresh water, especially a large number of people in Africa and Asia. In my opinion, our society need to pursue a water policy more active otherwise the amount of drinking water with every decade will decrease what eventually will lead to lack of water all over the world.

Nowadays the problem of fresh water mostly is in undeveloped countries but there is an example that crisis of freshwater is not only in those countries. As a person from Europe, such lands as Asia and Africa for me seem to be foreign and distant. But the situation with lack of drinking clear water in Cyprus when water delivers from Greece and Turkey start to think about it differently. On other side, lack of water can lead to different conflicts as drinking water is exhaustible resource and the allocation of potable water is not uniform distribution on our planet.

I hope that every of you who read this information will think about freshwater crisis more seriously and will do uttermost of your power in order to save the reserve of drinking water on Earth.
