The sixth edition of this exhibition is being held in Sharjah Aquarium from 17^th to 21^st Nov-14. This year the theme is ?Preserving our Past to protect our Future? It is organised by the ministry and Sharjah Aquarium. I attended this exhibition, with the team of my school and the head of the department, on 18-Nov-14. Being the Eco-Committee member of my school DPS, Sharjah it is my duty to acquaint, myself & my community, with various environmental events taking place.

One of the main goals of this exhibition is to increase the level of awareness and instill the concept of environmental protection towards promoting a sense of responsibility within the community that will lead to actions of protection and conservation of the environment, and reaching to the highest standards of sustainable development and ensure a clean and healthy environment, especially by conserving the natural resources including the marine resources.

This exhibition coincides with the World Fisheries Day due on 21-Nov-14. The UAE Govt. has a bundle of policies to find sustainable solutions for all the challenges and pressure affecting the sustainability of living aquatic resources, given that marine resources are considered one of the most important natural resources and is also considered a main pillar in achieving food security.

Many local & government organisations took part in the same. Sharjah Environment agency is one of them. I was elated to notice that the Sharjah Environment agency has displayed the Eco-Friendly Candle stand made by me in this prestigious exhibition. I was humbled by this honor bestowed upon my creation. That shows the appreciation of the authorities acknowledging the message of Reuse & Recycle in this creation.

All the orgainsations have displayed exhibits to promote the culture of conserving the environment and spreading awareness in this connection. An environmental quiz was also organized and I took part & won the prize by answering the questions correctly. I won a beautiful ceramic mug with an eco-friendly lid.

It was an exhilarating experience to visit this exhibition & take record of various methods of conservation of environment displayed.
