Plastic water Bottles & Aluminium Cans have literally invaded our life. In practically each country of the world water is sold in plastic bottle & Carbonated Drinks in cans. Every day hundreds of tons of both the items are used all over the planet. After usage, these items find their way to dustbins & ultimately Landfills. We all know that Plastic & Cans takes hundreds of years to decompose. But what is the motivation to the public not to throw the same in trash & look for recycling options.

In such a scenario, Bee'ah in Sharjah Emirate has introduced a novel way to motivate the public to recycle Plastic bottles & Aluminium cans. They have installed Reverse Vending Machines called RVMs at various places of Sharjah. Bee?ah is the Middle East?s leading and award-winning fully integrated environment and waste management company, based in Sharjah.

You are required to take these recyclable stuff to the RVMs located near to your residence. I have attached some pictures of the same in my report.

You have to Put the bottle or can in the machine, close the door. In few seconds the bottle or can is recycled. I found this really exciting & for the past two years I?m using these machines to recycle bottles & cans. You may look at the pictures & see the satisfaction on my face. The smile tells it all.
