The Grundfos-NDTV ?Mission Energy? Campaign Concludes on a High Note Think about it, 20 years from now wouldn?t the world be a cleaner and greener place if ? Green energy could be our main source of energy Solar energy could be used to power our buildings & All electrical and electronic products and solutions were energy efficient India is one of the largest energy consumers in the world and there is high pressure on the economy to meet this growing energy demand. The demand for all types of primary energy is expected to increase by 2035*. Globally, the demand for electricity is estimated to grow by about 70 per cent by 2035*. This increase in energy consumption necessitates a shift in focus from supply to demand. There is a need to not just increase the electricity-generating capacity, but also to increase the use of renewable sources of energy and move towards producing and using more energy efficient products. In view of this issue of depleting energy resources, earlier this year Grundfos India in collaboration with NDTV launched the ?Mission Energy? campaign to propagate energy efficiency. This five-month campaign was aimed at spreading awareness about the importance of energy conservation, and encouraging individual action for a greener future. The campaign highlighted viable solutions for energy conservation. |
