![]() It was march 2014 when i visited the major touristic place Sauraha ,located in the central part of Nepal with my classmates. It is one of the important touristic place of nepal full of scenic natural beauty.During our short trip we performed jungle safari along the forest which is linked with chitwan national park. After some hours of walk we reached a lake surrounded by plain land with large trees.the name of the lake was bishajari taal(20 thousand lake) which is one of the important natural resource of nepal.the lake has been the home of many aquatic animals like crocodile, fish e.t.c.But,the major problem with the lake is that it is deteriorated due to Eutrophication due to which the life of many aquatic animals is at risk. Before some years the lake was clean without weeds and we could see our picture as a mirror in the lake. But nowadays due to poor management ,the lake is full of weeds which results in hypoxia(low amount of oxygen due to decay and decomposition of excess weeds) which is a major threat to the aquatic ecosystem Eutrophication poses a problem not only to ecosystems, but to humans as well. Reducing eutrophication should be a key concern when considering future policy, and a sustainable solution for everyone. hence,to reduce eutrophication organic farming should be promoted and proper management of sewages should be done.the use of inorganic pestiscides and fertilizers should be reduced.similarly, the proper cleaning of the lake should be performed time and again. |
